The Buzz From Our Hive

The Community

coworkHERS is more than just a workspace.

Heather created this space for our community to develop friendships and lasting relationships as adults, support one another, and create change within our coworkHERS community and also in the larger Portland community.

We create many opportunities for members to connect including:

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We do not discriminate against men. This community is specifically built for and catered to women and other marginalized populations. But we absolutely allow men in the space. Many of our members have meetings and visitors that identify as men and we welcome them in the space.

  • There are many garages in the area to park for the day, and a bus stop right outside the space should you take public transportation. Most of our members ride their bikes in, walk, take a bus, or park in 2-hour parking spots outside the building.

  • We love dogs, and some of our members like to bring their dogs in, with limitations.

Dogs are only allowed for members, not day pass holders or room rentals.

If a member wants to bring in a dog, the dog must be good with people and other dogs, and also must be up on all their vaccines. The member must clear with the team bringing in a new dog for a trial day and after that day, the team can decide if the dog is a good fit moving forward.

If at any point the dog is disruptive to other members or the space, the team can revoke permissions at any time.
